Okay...Okay...

Due to popular demand (Lacey....) we felt it necessary to post something.

So, it's summer! It was 95 degrees today and boy did I feel it. Currently my work truck does not have A/C! It's horrible but I guess it helps me loose some weight.

Our nephews are sleeping over tonight, Josh just turned 11 today! Coby has a broken arm...again...for the second summer in a row. He did not even wait a year! Boys will be boys. Which brings me to my next point. I can't believe that my friends (Tyler, Evan, Ryan ...etc) made it all this time without any serious injuries! We did and still do a lot of crazy things but we have surely been blessed.

Maleah is almost 2 yrs old! Just a couple of weeks away! Keep your eye out for the invitation. If you didn't already know, we do have a new one on the way. Felicia is about 11 weeks pregnant and definitely feeling the effects.

I will add some pics later, this was more of a spur of the moment post.

How depressing...

So,

Today Maleah developed a horrible cough. She has had a cough on and off for a couple months now. Two weeks ago she had croup (however you spell it) but her cough has never fully gone away. So, we took her to an IHC instacare and there is apparently nothing wrong with her resperatory system. We did x-rays and everything but her lungs were clear. At this point the doctors think it is either an athesma or allergy related problem. So, we got a perscription and hopefully it works...

Anyway, the depressing part is that as parents we feel helpless. When your little ones are in pain and you can't do anything about it, it's depressing. I know some of you have experienced this on a far greater scale than we have and we are sincerely praying for your situations (the ones we know about) and for the babies or children who have to endure.

Time in the Snow 2008 Memories

Maleah having fun in the snow! It was her first time, she loved it! She loved eating it! The snow suit she is wearing is way too big for her, she was just drowning in it. My little umpalumpa. The picture above is the same day, I just fogged it up a little.

2008 Memories

Maleah and Her Grandpa. My Dad is our miracle of the year, early in 2008 he was run over by a semi truck, the driver was speeding and did not see him walking. He only broke a couple foot bones, and his wrist. But there were a few internal injuries that caused him to bleed internally. The Doctors were able to find the bleed, and fixed it. Because of his internal bleeding he got a very bad infection and we almost lost him, but God has a different plan for his life. After a few surgeries he was sent home and has been on the recovery. So we are very thankful for how well he is doing, and will say that this is the best miracles of 2008.

My Day

Yea! I just got my Twilight Saga in. To my surprise two days early! I love these books, thanks to Lacey for encouraging me so convincingly to read them. Yes, I am one of the pathetic fans of Edward and Bella...not intentionally mind you. At first I was completely against the trend that seemed to infect every Girl, Woman, and yes even some of the men I knew! Sure of the fact that I would be the one to resist I borrowed the books from my all to confident friend. She knew it all along, that as soon as she convinced me to take one of the books home, I would be contacting her for the next one. Yes, I am Proud to say it now, I am the proud owner of a Twilight Saga.

How's the View Up There?

For all you avid snowboarders and skiers, you probably know where I was standing when I took the photo's used for this panoramic. For those who don't, this is a panoramic from the top of the Sundance resort (Bishops Bowl). The view is looking northeast over the Rockies. If you look carefully you can see Deer Creek reservoir just a little bit right of the center of the picture.

It was a great day for boarding, sun shining, scattered clouds, no-wait lifts, it was awesome. The only thing that would of made it better was to have all my best friends there to share the day. Nonetheless, I was in good company.

Being my first time out you can only imagine how my body feels right now! I didn't take any huge spills, just one or two slip outs from some ice on the steep hills. For the most part the snow conditions were fair. On the top side (Arrowhead lift) the snow was soft although the powder was a little crunchy. The bottom side was a little bit harder snow and typically more crowded.

My first day out on the board but hopefully not the last.
